Museum Special Opening Arrangements

Opening Hours

Hong Kong Museum of Art will be opened starting from 14 September 2020 (Monday).
We will implement the following special arrangements and precautionary measures to help ensure public safety:

Special opening hours:
10am to 5pm (closes on Thursdays)

Visit by sessions with limited admission, each session for 2 hours:
10am-12noon / 12:30pm-2:30pm / 3:00pm-5:00pm

  • "Classics Remix: The Hong Kong Viewpoint"

Interactive exhibits and public programmes are temporarily suspended.

Special precautionary measures

The hygiene of the facilities will be strengthened. Regular disinfection of toilets, lifts, escalators, railings, buttons and all public areas of the museum will be arranged. Sanitising mats and alcohol hand sanitisers will be provided. Enhanced cleansing in between sessions will be conducted.

  • Visitors are subject to temperature check before admission. Visitors with fever symptoms will not be admitted.
  • Visitors should apply alcohol hand sanitisers before admission.
  • Visitors will need to wear their own masks in the museum.
  • Children aged under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Hong Kong Museum of Art will review the situation and adjust relevant precautionary measures as and when necessary.
